A journalist since 2002, having first trained as a news reporter, I began copywriting during my time in regional and contract publishing – mainly in the form of advertising features. Staff jobs in the national press followed, with roles at First, ShortList, Stylist and, most recently and excitingly, British GQ, where I stayed for nearly six years. While I remain a Contributing Editor for GQ, I became a freelance writer in December 2015, based in London and mainly writing about food & drink, travel, luxury and health. My copywriting work is more eclectic – I’ve ghostwritten thought-leadership pieces for heads of business; created content for websites and brochures; written social media, articles and newsletters for a well-known whisky brand; crafted press releases for PR agencies; copy-edited several eBooks; worked on the brand positioning and tone of voice for a new property development; and even named a collection of luxurious penthouses. Please get in touch to talk to me about the copywriting or editing projects that could help build your brand.
