Press release training for PRs

I run in-house training workshops for PRs, teaching them how to spot news angles and write effective, well-structured press releases. These informal sessions in London – or anywhere in the UK over Teams/Zoom – also offer junior PRs a chance to find out more about what journalists are looking for in a press release.

They can be run either as a general group training session or as one-on-one press-release “surgeries” with individual team members. Please get in touch if you’re interested in finding out more about how journalist-led press release training could transform your team’s writing.

I’m also a freelance press release writer and editor.

“Jen ran through the dos and don’ts of press release writing and my team found it an invaluable resource. It was great to refocus our minds on what to write, how, when and to whom and was a great team exercise to improve our output. Jen is a great communicator and her confidence, experience and expertise was instrumental in this process being a great addition to our training sessions at Tonic.”
